A Whole Lot of Naked

Naked have been one of my favourite hair and skin care brands for a couple of years now. As you can see I've built up quite a collection! All their products are 97% natural with the 3% being a few preservatives to keep everything fresh and don't contain any harsh chemicals. They also have very clear values about animal testing, ethical sourcing and charitable work. Their ranges don't have any sulphates in and most of their haircare has no silicones. I think I'll save my ventings on my issues with these ingredients for another post. ;)

Aside from being natural, these products are also incredible and do exactly what they promise in their special witty style. Their natural credentials also don't mean they are hideously expensive. Most of the products retail around the £4-£5 mark and there are often very generous offers on their website and in Boots. :)

One of my ultimate must-haves from the skin-care range is the Thirst Aid 12 hour moisturiser. It contains argan oil, neroli oil and shea butter but those fancy ingredients aren't just for show and a lovely smell, the product also works! The cream goes on very easily and sinks in almost immediately giving a noticeable long-lasting effect. A little goes a long way and I've found one pot lasts me about 6 months.

So many of the haircare products have made an incredible difference to my hair but I thought Little Miracle leave-in conditioner deserved a special mention. For me, I've always been a bit sceptical of leave-in products. I have ridiculous thick hair and find products like these just get lost in my hair or result in a sticky greasy mess but not this. A very small amount leaves my hair smooth, shiny and smelling lovely.

Overall, it's just an amazing fun brand. Their Facebook page responds very quickly if you have any questions or problems and often posts competitions. My only very very small issue with them is their shampoos don't seem to work for me when I use them in hard water resulting in sticky build up after a couple of washes. However, I think this is a more general problem with a lot of sulphate free shampoos and there are various rinses you can try to get round it. Shampoos aside though, everything else works perfectly for me. They are well worth a try!

You can buy the Naked hair care range in Boots or buy directly from the Naked website

I hope you try getting Naked ;)

Introductions

I suppose my first every foray into blog posting should really be an introduction! So I'm Becca, I'm a 19 year old Psychology student. I started this blog to share my discoveries in fashion from the perspective from someone who often finds it hard to find suitable clothes. As the title suggests, I am a bit of an hourglass but this is a blessing and a curse! Expensive, hard to come by bras and clothes that fit either my waist or bust but never both to name just two problems I come across! Hopefully I'll be able to share some of my success stories and favourite outfits with you.

I also have a real interest in safe and natural haircare, skincare and cosmetics. I suppose you could say I make my life pretty difficult with all these criteria! But I hope you enjoy reading about my discoveries and favourite products and brands.
